Application Process: Review and Selection

As an MSDE (Maryland State Department of Education) approved school that relies on parent participation, SSDS’ admission policy allows a committee made up of members of the SSDS community, to consider each application and then determine which families best demonstrate their understanding of not only the philosophy of our approach to education but also the needs of our school each year. SSDS admits students based on a variety of considerations that include but are not limited to gender, special needs, parental involvement, ratio of families who participate or do not participate in the classroom, and diversity. Selected applicants will be notified and offered admission in the spring prior to the subsequent school year. Silver Spring Day School does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, national or ethnic origin, socio-economic status, or learning differences in its admission process.

Upon acceptance of a placement offer, tuition payment #1 for the coming school year is due and is non-refundable.
