Maddy is originally from the Carolinas and has been living in Silver Spring for the past decade. She is a librarian and unabashed genre geek. In between book club meetings and chasing her small children around, she enjoys curating booklists, listening to horror movie podcasts, and snuggling up with any book/cat/child/husband available in her house. As a former "semi-feral unschooled child," Maddy especially appreciates SSDS's emphasis on free play and self-directed learning, as well as the abundance of comfy book nooks.
