The Tuition Assistance fund was created to provide support for families that could benefit from SSDS and make a great addition to the school community but do not have the financial resources to attend. Donating can make a profound difference in the lives of children and their families who may not otherwise be able to afford quality early childhood education.
Early childhood education is crucial for social, emotional, and cognitive development, setting the foundation for lifelong learning and success. By contributing to the SSDS assistance program, collectively we can make our preschool which is based in social-emotional learning, exploration, and purposeful play accessible to more families, especially those facing financial challenges. Together, we foster a community where all children, families, and educators share in the journey of lifelong learning and success.

Silver Spring Day School is committed to raising money in three exciting areas: SSDS Tuition Assistance Fund, Cultural Arts Programming, & Building Beautification and Learning Space Efforts. The various events we hold throughout the year support giving in the 3 top priorities. Some events specifically focus on one area such as Giving Tuesday is dedicated to raising funds for our Tuition Assistance Program whereas all funds raised during our Fall Festival event go into our Cultural Arts Programming. Plant sale is all about supporting and enhancing our Playground & Other Learning Space Beautification Efforts and our Spring Celebration brings it all together to support funds for Building Beautification as well as where needed most in our top priority initiatives.
