On Giving Tuesday, 12/2 (and Wednesday, 12/3!) — SSDS will have its first ever SSDS Holiday ReMarket! This community event will be a fun opportunity to holiday shop, reuse, & support! All items will be available on a pay-what-you-can basis. All funds raised will go toward our Giving Tuesday fundraising efforts.
This year our Giving Tuesday priority is to raise money for school-wide enhancements to our playground and other school spaces.
Our playground lost a little of its magic when we had to remove our beloved shade tree. Now we are dreaming up something new and beautiful to fill the shade void: playful yet functional sails to keep our community cool and protected during outdoor play. We’re also upgrading our well-loved water fountains to bottle-filling stations – easier to use, environmentally friendly, and perfect for thirsty humans on the go at preschool.
Giving Tuesday is our opportunity to raise money for these important school improvement efforts! Your contribution will directly impact the well-being of our community and the quality of our school.
Can’t shop at the Holiday ReMarket? No worries – you can still share the love on Giving Tuesday – click to give!
Together, we can create a cooler and more lovely space for all of us!

Silver Spring Day School is committed to raising money in three exciting areas: SSDS Tuition Assistance Fund, Cultural Arts Programming, & Building Beautification and Learning Space Efforts. The various events we hold throughout the year support giving in the 3 top priorities. Some events specifically focus on one area such as Giving Tuesday is dedicated to raising funds for our most needed School Improvement Efforts whereas all funds raised during our Fall Festival event go into our Cultural Arts Programming. Plant sale is all about supporting and enhancing our Playground & Other Learning Space Beautification Efforts and our Spring Celebration brings it all together to support our Tuition Assistance Program as well as where needed most in our top priority initiatives.
Our Tuition Assistance Fund’s goal is to provide families with some financial support in order to make the SSDS experience more accessible for all. Please link HERE for more information about our tuition assistance program.
Consider supporting our Cultural Art Programming to bring enriching cultural experiences to our children through diverse and meaningful programming.
Building Beautification & Learning Space Efforts, a little goes a long way to make SSDS a welcoming place filled with magic inside and outside, and on the playground.
We all value special aspects of our SSDS community – and there is something in our top priorities for everyone to connect with.
SSDS is a 501c3 non-profit. You can help our school and community thrive through your continued involvement and financial contributions. Every dollar that you donate is tax deductible. Please show your support for our community here at SSDS by making a generous donation today!
