Rebecca grew up in Maryland, spending most of her free time on the school stage or in the dance studio, practicing pirouettes, jazz hands, and all the tap! After spending many years in Boston, MA nearly freezing and completing college, she returned to DC where she began the exciting journey into education as a preschool teacher at the DC Jewish Community Center Preschool. From there, she attained her Masters in Elementary Education and transitioned to the elementary classroom where she taught both Kindergarten and 2nd grade.

She has spent the last 6 years as a stay at home parent (which really IS one of the hardest jobs around!) to her two daughters, one of whom was lucky enough to spend a year at SSDS with Ms. Beth in the 3s classroom. Rebecca loves to cook, bake, and dance the day away with her two daughters, as well as spend time outside exploring nature, hiking local trails or splashing in rain puddles. She is thrilled to (re)join the SSDS community, this time as a teacher, and get back in the classroom to help her students learn through play, exploration, and lots of fun!
