Sharath Mekala grew up in Silver Spring, attended college in Atlanta where he launched his first company from his dorm, and became fascinated with community organizing and for-profit social enterprises. Twenty years later he returned home, traded his start-up days for starting a family in the nearby North Hills community, and now works in customer experience for an organization focused on older adults. Him and his wife, who is a children's occupational therapist knew SSDS would be the right place for their 2 sons to thrive and now one is a recent SSDS graduate, and one will be joining rolling 2's in September! SSDS is an example of a community that unites to rally around our future - everyday, and Sharath is so honored to rally for this community.
