Amy is a mother to 3 SSDS alums, a former elementary school teacher, and an active volunteer in the PTA and multiple girl scout troops (if you need cookies, she's your hookup!). In her free time, Amy loves baking, reading, and jogging slowly. Originally from the Midwest, Amy discovered a love for the beach later in life, and loves living within driving distance to the coast. In her years as an SSDS parent and assistant teacher, Amy fell in love with the school's focus on social emotional learning, and loves to teach preschoolers how to identify and safely express all their big emotions. Amy also loves to sing, and always includes lots of music in her classroom.
