Amy has been a member of the SSDS community for over 15 years, first as a parent, then as a teacher, and now as a part of the admin team. As a former elementary school teacher, Amy fell in love with the school's focus on social emotional development, and the goal to help students develop a life-long love of learning. In her free time, Amy loves baking, reading, and jogging (slowly). Originally from the Midwest, Amy discovered a love for the beach later in life, and loves living within driving distance to the coast for beach vacations with her husband and 3 daughters (all SSDS alums). Amy also loves to sing, and helped create the first (as far as she knows) pre-school based a cappella group, the Social Emotions, with other SSDS staff members.
