Mary is a Silver Spring native, mom to 2 kiddos (one SSDS alum) and spouse to a foreign service officer. The family spent 4 wonderful years serving overseas and soaking up the sights and cultures in Ethiopia and Taiwan. Mary and family are thrilled to resume life back in Silver Spring! Mary graduated from UMD as an Anthropology major. Other than playing and exploring with SSDS friends in the classroom, her favorite jobs have been as a veterinary tech and as an activities facilitator in assisted living. Mary loves learning languages, Amharic and Mandarin Chinese are her most recent pursuits. She tries to see live music as much as possible, adores her two cats and of course, loves international travel!
