Rachael has been part of the SSDS community since 2018 when her youngest son attended the school. She stayed on as a sub and is now a floating teacher.

Rachael earned a degree in sociology and studied abroad multiple times before settling back in MoCo, where she - more or less - grew up. Rachael lives in Silver Spring with her husband, 2 sons, and a dog. When not at SSDS, she can usually be found at the ice rink with her oldest son, at the fencing studio with her youngest, or with her nose in a book.

A total bookworm, Rachael loves reading to your kids! Elephant and Piggie, Harold's Purple Crayon, and the Questioneers series are among her favorites.
