The 3 year olds are focusing on feelings (theirs and others) as they start to make friends. As our 3s begin to build self-confidence and independence, they play more collaboratively and are able to focus for longer periods of time.
Themes are high-interest topics such as space, dinosaurs, and insects. They go on adventures like playground camping and immerse themselves in the facts surrounding outer space.
The 3s have open classrooms during free play to help them make choices about what to do and with whom to play. This is to capitalize on their budding independence and desire to interact with their peers.
As 3s, children become more aware of the other children around them. They continue to play alone but begin to make friends with their classmates.
